With Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings in mind, the primary focus of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO-USA) has been to provide solutions to the present-day environmental crisis, described in many ways including climate change, deforestation, biodiversity loss, water scarcity, etc. Many organizations exist in the USA and internationally to address the symptoms we see. The SSSIO-USA Envirocare initiatives go deeper to address root causes like our human desires.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba warned and provided guidance, “Today the world is losing its ecological balance as man, out of utter selfishness, is robbing the Mother Earth of her resources like coal, petroleum, iron, etc. As a result, we find earthquakes, floods and such other devastating natural calamities. Human life will find fulfillment only when ecological balance is maintained. Balance in human life and balance in Nature, both are equally important”.  

To honor Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s mission to create balance, members of the SSSIO participate in and promote Go Green and Serve the Planet activities with our international members.

In the US, we have two primary goals:

• Moving towards 100% of our domestic organizational activities being zero waste and energy and incorporating increasing levels of responsible natural resource stewardship into our personal lives. 
• Supporting on-the-ground service projects to beautify and restore, and protect nature, particularly with a goal of massive tree
